  1. from the primary follicle

  2. Hi Nishi,

Each follicle contains one egg which is surrounded by layers of follicle cells. These are within the ovaries and are known to produce the female s*x hormones such as estrogen [gives females primary female characteristics]. The follicle cells provide the developing egg the right nutrients and protects it til it matures and leaves the ovaries for [possible] fertizilation.

The ovum in the female reproductive system is made from the secondary oocyte. The secondary oocyte is made from the primary oocyte - the difference between the two oocytes is that the Primary Oocyte has just undergone meiosis I and it starts meiosis II. The Secondary Oocyte forms a polar body at the end of its development from meiosis II.

The Primary Oocyte comes from an Oogenium, this cell is the cell that undergoes mitosis prior to forming a single oocyte [human females form only one egg a month, whereas in males a single cell undergoes mitosis prior to meiosis to form 4 gametes].

    Recap:

Oogenium forms a Primary Oocyte, which forms into a Secondary Oocyte which then matures into an Ovum.

Hope this helps you out. Good luck.
