What kind of food did the vikings eat?

i am doing a project based on the vikings and was wondering what they ate and drank.....

  1. well, vikings were at sea alot, so im guessing fruit rotted. salted beef cos salt preserves. and people on ship drank lime water i think. probably rice and dried fruits that they could store on their ships. cant you google vikings diet or wikipedia it?


  2. reindeer cows,pigs,chicken etc  and drank lots of wine

  3. must'a been a lot of oxen, HAVE YOU SEEN THEIR HEAD-GEAR?

    But ... look at their life style at home ranchers and farmers..

    but the hard times they resorted to theft and murder..

    during the travel they ate what was available live food they brought goats, sheep, rabbits, chickens, and when possible fish they caught..Breads and any fruit an vegetables they could store..As I remember they stayed close the shore lines when possible fresh water was easy that way

    wine OR some form of beer would always be ready..I don't believe rum had been found..
