  6. Well, I eat most things!  I suppose what you really mean is what is tradtional english fayre?  Roast Dinner has to top the list (my fave roast lamb with rosemary and onion), followed closely by English breakfast (with eggs, toast, sausages, black pudding, mushrooms and bacon) using local produce it's amazing! Shepherds Pie is truly gorgeous, as is beer battered fish and chips.  You're making me hungry....

  7. My bro-in-law's mom is British and she visits every Christmas and she makes something called scotch eggs. It a hard boiled egg peeled then a sausage and breadcrumb mixture is caked all around it and baked. It's gross I don't like it but everyone else does. She also makes Shepard's pie but I have yet to taste it and I have always wanted to try Shepard's pie made by a real Brit.

  8. These days Indian curry is England's favourite food, ahead of traditional food like fish & chips and roasts; based on surveys done in England. India may be a former colony of the British Empire but foodwise they have conquered their former colonial masters!

  9. England is famous for its fish and chips.

The Sunday roast is perhaps the most common feature of English cooking. The Sunday dinner traditionally includes roast potatoes accompanying a roasted joint of meat such as roast beef, lamb , or a roast chicken and assorted vegetables, themselves generally roasted or boiled and served with a gravy. Yorkshire pudding and gravy is now often served as an accompaniment to the main course, although it was originally served first as a "filler".

The full English breakfast consists of a combination of bacon, grilled tomatoes, fried bread, black pudding, baked beans, fried mushrooms, sausages, eggs (fried, scrambled or boiled) and other variations on these ingredients and others.
