What kind of food do they give in an airplane?

im going on british airplanes and i wana know wat kind of food they serve

Well the food isnt that bad. It's mirowavable stuff. Like did you ever eat TV dinners? That's basicly what it is. It also depends on the time that you go at. Like I know when I went to Italy, we had breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the plane because it was a long flight. Breakfast is usually a muffin or a few cookies (you get a choice between usually two). Lunch was a sandwich and they asked you what you wanted in it. Dinner was a TV dinner and they had a choice between two.

But what I suggest is in the airport while your waiting for your flight, there will usually be a fastfood and just go to one of those and eat about an hour before you go on the plane.

Also, you can bring crackers or something to snack on in your carryon.

But they do give you drinks on the plane and sometimes a snack (mostly peanuts) if your hungry or thirsty.

S****y food... unles you're busines/first class :D sometimes, if the flight attendants are nice though, they give you ice cream if you ask nicely (;

Go on the airline's website and click on "inflight services" or similar (each airline seems to have a different terminology.) It might be under "planning your trip" or "travel tools" There should be a list of what is served on various flights i.e. international, short flights, long flights.

If you are in coach, and are a picky eater, I would recommend bring a peanut butter sandwich and some fruit and maybe some nuts, pretzels, granola bars, anything not liquid that you can take through security.

PS don't always count on special request meals - with all the cutbacks, it might be just what ever they have and not special dietary items.

It depends on the airline and your destination.  I fly NWA between the US, Japan and Philippines.  Being the flight has many American and Asian people they offer two choices for the meals, one for each nationality.  I always enjoy the meals, but I am not a fussy eater.

Some food isn't so bad, but mostly its gross. It's all microavable c**p so i suggest taking a snack with you just to make sure.

people always talk about how nasty airplane food is, it isn't GREAT but really it's like a mircowave dinner.  I honestly don't know what people expect sometimes.  You can't have surf and turf on a plane or anything,

If you want something special (like u have dietary needs) you can make requests.  Call the airline to make them.
