What kind of food do you put in a minnow trap ?

Get a bag of pork rinds. Yes, the kind you eat as a snack. Just use the regular flavor not the hot or barbecue.

Canned cat food works really well. Get cans with a reusable plastic lid if you can find them. Poke some holes in the top of the can and place it in your trap. The scent will work its way through the water and draw in the baitfish and crawfish depending on where you use the trap. When you're through catching bait you can replace the lid or put the can in a freezer bag and freeze it for your next outing. Tight lines!
