  1. A typical fourth of July has American food like hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, soda, and a potato salad. Also you could serve baked beans, macaroni and cheese, and some kind of dessert too! (dang, now im hungry)

  2. Hamburgers and Hot Dogs or if fancy, steaks

kosher dills and tomato slies for garnish

catsup and yellow mustard for condiments

    potato salad with red potatos

French Fries (formerly freedom fries) are an American food

nachos with salsa & guacamole(a nod to our Hispanic roots)

    Apple pie with ice cream

American label soft drinks and beers

Whisky: multitudes of American made products available.

  3. Hot Dogs, hamburgers, chicken, potato salad, deviled eggs, corn on the cob, etc etc.

  4. BBQ Burgers, Hot Dogs with all the trimmings, potato salad, macaroni salad, baked or chili beans, corn on the cob, chips and dips, watermelon, homemade ice cream, smores.

    Have a great fourth!

  5. We do something a little different. Every year we have the same group of people up and do a seafood boil! We have shrimp, clams, crab legs, mussels, fish, scallops, calamari, baby red potatoes, corn on the cob, and onions. We boil it in a big pot, drench it in butter, and then just put it on platters on the table. We are right on a lake so it is more than appropriate.

We also usually decorate the deck and house in red, white, and blue. One year we had red, white, and blue drinks. They were pina coladas, strawberry daiquiris, and blue Curacao and sprite (blended with ice) and layered them. If you are thinking of doing this make sure all the drinks are not the same level of density otherwise it will just be a purple drink. We did put them in a champagne flute which worked out really well. We have also done other colored beverages.

I realize that this isn't the food that a lot of people choose to celebrate the 4th of July with, but we love the tradition we started.
