My sons 5th birthday party is next weekend. I've got some really cool party favors, activities and cake. I just can't figure out the food. Any suggestions? I want some theme related food. I'd get MRE's but they are kinda expensive.

  1. During the WWII Spam was popular or Vienna Sausages, or you could make what they creamed beef or tuna on toast.  My dad used to call it S.O.S.

  2. Pigs in a blanket

    potato salad

    beans

    Rice

    veggies

    fruit cups

veggie trays for the adults if there are any present

    meat balls

    kabobs

    hot dogs

    macaroni and cheese

    Cheese doodles

    string cheese

    hamburgers

maybe for an activity you can have the kids do a relay race by doing an army crawl with their plastic helmets on and they can pretend they are scouting the area.  Cover the fence or set up tents and have them eat inside them like some soldiers do. They could pretend to have a headquarters. Drape fish netting around the party area to make it look like a washed up war zone.

Put those plastic green army men out for party favors and some candy or plastic rubber snakes.

  3. i was going to say get MRE`s but they are a little bit but if you know anybody in the military like myself we get discounts or you can bar-b-q because thats all we love when we are out there
