What kind of food to serve at a surprise vegas style 25th birthday party?

Ok so Vegas is a little out of our budget this year so I am throwing my husband a 25th surprise birthday party thats going to be "Vegas style"..I need some help coming up with what to server for food..i was thinking finger foods. I'm not sure what exactly? any suggestions? I think decorations can be taken care of at a card and party factory but I'm stuck on food..

How about a buffet style with a platter of meats and cheeses,breads etc. Fruit salad or a green salad.This way you can just enjoy the party with no fuss!!

Vegas is glitter and lights. Use some metal mylar to wrap poles and some walls.  

Ice sculpture amongst the food.

Got a video projector? (borrow one from work? someone's got one) and show a loop of Vegas pix on some wall.

How old are the attendees?  The pole I mentioned in the first paragraph brings to mind more..ahem....  

Poker chips strewn around the food table.

Lots of 'za, pastas, his fav desert(s) (two) and great advertisers (five) (2  5).

People in Vegas are always bragging about the wonderful buffets there, but I think a buffet is a buffet no matter what city you're in.  Anyway - how about a "bar top" buffet with stuff you might find at a happy hour for your local watering hole?  Pretzels, peanuts, wings, egg rolls, etc.  Check out the frozen food section of Sam's Club warehouse.  They have tons of heat and eat appetizers.

make it look real authentic Vegas! do the buffet idea but get those metal trays on the stands to put all the foods in to look like a real buffet! you might even be able to rent one of those buffet carts with the sneeze guard on it! check around to party rental places- they should have the cart or the metal trays to rent. fill it with different stuff like chicken wings, pasta, breaded mushrooms- whatever your hubby likes best!
