  1. yeah seafood is good for a beach wedding but what if some people dont like fish???  i would have summer like things cuz i dont eat any type of seafood

  2. Seafood sound great... crab, shrimp, salmon serve with rice, pasta salad, potato salad, maybe include chicken kabobs for those who don't care for seafood or kids.

    Have a wonderful Wedding!

  3. I would serve "picnic" type food such as potato salad, macaroni salad, baked beans, burgers, cold cuts, etc. Enjoy your day & don't fuss too much. Congratulations!

  4. if you think seafood is the best choice- go with seafood.

personally i think seafood is good for a beach wedding. maybe also do something pineapple-y or coconut-y, for again that beachy feel.

or maybe you could do a surf n' turf type of thing if you can't decide!

  5. becareful with seafood, as you can easily get food posining, if it's left out for too long.

  6. I would go with a simple seafood and maybe chicken. It is a good alternative and most ppl like it. Make sure if you have veggie lovers in the family then add some veggie platters. When I got married I made it a potluck everyone brought their own favorite dish. I also got married on halloween in the evening which made it a costume party also. I have friends to this day that say how much fun it was not having to fuss with fancy clothes.  I did of course have to provide the minister and other normal expenses but i figured the whole point in getting married (at least the wedding itself) should be a celebration and light hearted. Not all serious and quiet. I wanted my wedding to be a reflection of the type of ppl hubby and I are. That was of course in 2002 so maybe we are just in-sane! Good luck and remember this is supposed to be a joyous occasion.  I always thought that when we redo our vows then we would do it in the summer or spring time and have a huge pinic with everyone out on blankets while the kids run and play!

  7. For my beach wedding we had a catered clambake, it was excellent!! There were 3 courses, plus dessert and the guests had 3 dif choices for their main meal ( lobster, char broiled sirloin, BBQ ckn).

  8. Are you having  a beach wedding?

I would hire waiters to serve platters of finger foods,

then creat a Hawaiian Luaw menu,

you got to have big bonfire and live band.

    Good Luck...

    Chef

  9. Seafood yes but your going to need to cater to the landlovers...chicken tenderloins with a fruit based marinade.  I would stick with simple seafood things like shrimp cocktail and maybe crab salad dip or mini sandwiches (without crust) possibly those mini quiches?  Avoid too many mayonaisse based salads due to temperatures.  fruits boats and watermelon balls, things that are fun and colorful will add to the theme.  Swedish meatballs will survive any temperture variations and balance things out.  Add a vegie tray for the picky ones and you will be great! Tortilla chips and salsa too. Have a wonderful day!
