My son is almost 3 and he does not sleep well. He's kind of a picky eater and that makes it hard I think. I want to feed him enough so that I know he's not waking up hungry. Any suggestions??

  1. i think that what u are eating try to give your son by using some chit chat are playing wid him he have to eat all healthy things chicken , sosages , nugetts ,banana , apple , ,rice oatmeal first try to understand that which things i like to eat happily then make those things wid a little diffrent recipe

  2. Have him eat a nutritious snack (bowl of cereal, yogurt, peanut butter sandwich) before he goes to bed.

I can tell you though, that catering to his 'likes and dislikes' in food is only setting you and him up for a LONG road of pickiness.  Don't make the mistake of thinking it is just a "phase".  He is learning lifelong eating habits and they aren't likely to change. I made that mistake with my first child and he is still picky.  My other four children will eat ANYTHING I give them because I didn't cater to their pickiness.

Just some advice from someone whose been there.

  3. Some foods that my 3 year old eats are:

    hot dogs

    chicken nuggets

    grapes

    bologna

    bananas

    strawberries

spaghetti (I chop up veggies very finely and put in the sauce)

    tacos

    cheese quesadilla

pizza (can add veggies to this)

    pretzels

    goldfish

    V8 fruit juice

Shakes - can mix fruits and veggies...even pumpkin

    nuts

    olives

green beans and carrots (with coaxing)

  4. Be sure any bedtime snack is very low in sugar and other simple carbs. Sugars burns up quickly, so you're hungry sooner. vegetables would be better than fruit, and certainly no fruit juice. As long as you go easy on sugar and salt, he should be able to eat anything you eat.

  5. OAT MEAL!!!  My son and daughter are both picky eaters as well, Oat Meal always workes with them. It is good for them and it keeps them full for a long time!  I do not mean add a poud of butter and a cup and a half of sugar, Mine would rather have it with just a little butter, or the flavored kind. Try that!  It workes for me!!!
