  1. Drink plenty of water, fruits and vegetables.Avoid salty and spicy foods.

  2. Never take Coffee or packaged food.

  3. Omega 3 oils are extremely healthy for you. But you cannot eat any omega 3 rich fish because of the risk of mercury exposure to your baby.

Flax seed oil is extremely healthy, otherwise you can really eat anything but stay away from fast foods, lots of vegetables and leafy greens should be included in your diet

  4. I was taught that if you were pregnant, it would be best to have lots of Folic acid rich foods, such as whole grains of cereal and breads and lots of vegetables for the vitamins and calcium..

You'd pretty much have to maintain a really good balanced diet, try to stay away from tuna and sea-fishes because of the mercury but you can have salmon once in a while..

For the first trimester, you can actually pretty much eat anything, just make sure you get some extra folic acid pills and vitamins from your doctor.. Your doctor would be able to prescribe a good diet for yourself..

  5. Prenatal vitamins

fruits, vegetables, milk, lean meat, dairy

  6. No caffeine like coffee or tea that will cause things like miscarriages, etc.

  7. you will end up eating whatever is in the refrigerator

  8. Definitely go to your local pharmacy or grocery store. They offer a lot of vitamins that would benefit your baby and you during your pregnancy. I'd highly recommend taking one.

As for food you basically should eat healthy because this is a crucial time to maintain the health of you and your baby and plus this is the period where your baby's taste buds develop and I'm probably guessing you want your baby to adjust to good foods.

A food you can definitely not eat is sushi. (raw fish of any sorts). It has been proven that raw fish can damage your baby's health.
