What kind of footwear is appropriate for a concert?

I like flip flops. Good idea or bad idea? This is not a mosh-pit kind of concert by the way.

probably flats or sneakers. but you could try flip flops they should be fine.

I'd say no flip-flops.  Wear something that you can't lose in a crowd, and that will not leave your feet vulnerable to sharp objects on the ground.  

Hard-toe combat boots are my personal preference, but that's more because of the belligerence that usually occurs at the concerts I go to.

If you wanna wear something more comfortable for summer though (i.e. lightweight and more breathable), I'd say go with sneakers.
