What kind of foundation is best for oily skin?

Alright.

Last year for school, I bought mineral foundation, and it lasted about...an hour, then my face was SUPER oily.

People have told me pressed powder is good, so if that works best, what brands do you recommend? Thanks :D

Mineral foundations have basically no staying power from my experience and i get oily skin from time to time too. Whats happening is the oil on your skin is absorbing your makeup.

I recommend you purchase a foundation primer such as:

many other make-up brands are coming out with primers.  You apply the primer before your foundation like a moisturizer. They are great for making your makeup last longer ans create a smooth even 'canvas' for your makeup to 'stick' to.

As for pressed powder i agree that it can be great to reduce shine and give a matt finish but i choose to apply powder over my foundation base as my makeup will last longer and provide more coverage.

Foundation that i think is great for oily skin:

- water resistant foundations

- definitely oil free

- foundations formulated for oily skin (revlon colorstay make one for oily/combination skin)

- i would highly recommend a cake foundation such as

or Mac compact foundation if you can afford it

- liquid foundations will probably require a pressed powder applied over the top

try foundation oil free i have oily skin too and i am using Subli'mine Fluid Foundation from Givenchy its good really and try to use from clean and clear the advantage ACNE cleanser wash ur face with it then ues this cream advantage oil free moisturizer before the foundation
