powder probably...the less coverage the better.  For summer, try using a face lotion and loose powder.  a little bronzer will help give you a natural glow too.

liquid foundation goes on a lot smoother, and can look completely flawless with the right brush.

I use a stippling brush.

It depends on what type of skin you have, greasy or dry.

If you have dry skin, the liquid foundation does wonders for you.

If you have greasy skin, the powder foundation works for you.

Tips on having a natural look are not to pile it on, do as little as possible. Put on a little blush so your cheeks are "glowing," along with foundation, mascara, and a bit of eyeliner. If you must have eye-shadow, make it a natural color like gold or brown. Good luck!

I've used both - together but the powder tended to make me look flaky.  I liked the way the liquid went on, but sometimes I got too much in one place or another and it didn't blend well.  Now I use a creme to powder foundation.  It goes on creamy but doesn't stay "wet".

well i use bareminerals which seems like a powder but is actually liquid. it looks very natural and i highly reccomend it.

I use liquid then a transparent mineral powder over it.  I love the way it makes my face look, and it looks very natural.  Try Revlon's foundation where you can like twist the top to get your correct color (the name escapes me at the moment) and go over that with Physician's Formula mineral powder

And there's another plus, neither Revlon nor Physician's Formula test on animals!

Definitely need a well moisturized face for either though. If it has to be one, go with liquid.

mineral powder its a bit more expensive than the normal powder but its much better for your skin. just look at the ingredients and if one of the first things is talc dont buy it.  and also stay away from liquids.

i suggest

and bare minerals  if you want to spent that much money

I would say powder. With liquid (at least in my case) it tends to accentuate those little hairs that are invisible when not wearing makeup lol. When I wear mineral powder, it doesn't do that (or at least almost barely). It also doesn't look as though it's clogging my skin and doesn't FEEL like makeup. It also in my opinion is much more transfer resistant and works great for my oily skin.

If you get a sheer liquid however, you can most likely achieve the same results that powders can offer. Using an appropriate brush though is a big part of it!

definitly powder! it blends in better and gives you a beautiful glow.

besides, if it's hot outside, the liquid runs down your face and that is not attractive and people can tell you're wearing makeup. the trick to putting make up on is to make it so no one can tell you're wearing it!
