  1. It will take r-134A.  It should not need any added unless it has a leak in the line somewhere.  If it has a leak you should get it repaired or you will just be throwing your money away.

  2. I don't think that car would still be using freon I think they started phasing it out in the 80's, most likely using R134a not sure about its common name

  3. Hopefully your talking about the AC system. A 1996 most likely uses R-134A refrigerant.

  4. Not "freon" but R-134a.  Can be purchased at Wall*Mart or any parts store.

  5. 134 a dear, freon is a name brand

  6. your car does not use freon it takes r134 refrigerant. dont put freon in that car or you will ruin the ac system

  7. for that year it should be 134a the r12 was for older models

  8. FIRST ,,ITS NOT FREON,,,ITS REFRIGERANT AND IT TAKES R134A

  9. R-134a, but if you have to add it you have a leak that needs to be fixed, are you will just be wasting your money. It is best to go have it tested from some one that knows what they are doing. You can overfill it and cause more damage to the system
