Question:

What kind of frogs are these!?

My son and I found these extrememly tiny frogs in a swamp. They range in size -from head to tail- at about 5mm to 7 mm. Thats it! You have NO idea how utterly small these guys are unless you were to see them with your own eyes. Anyway, we live in Ottawa - if that helps- and we found them by the canal.

We would like to know how to keep them but we cant unless we know WHAT they are exactly!

Cheers!

  1. I would say either spring peepers or chorus frogs. Both are tiny and are found in Canada.

  2. are they spring peepers?  If they have a little gray or black x on their back that's the ones.  Plus they are very small and make that chirping sound at night, almost like crickets.

  3. could be very young of almost any local species (altho spring peepers sounds likely) what color are they

i hope u put them back where u found them
