  1. Cold front

  2. Low pressure system (cold air) collides with high pressure (warm air) the clouds become mixed and create a "rotation" which forms a tornado.

  3. I believe it is when a low pressure system collides with a high pressure system?...

  4. Cold fronts usually are responsible for spawning tornadoes. It is caused by the big difference in temps. HIgh pressure has no effect on tornadoes what so ever. Low pressure can spawn tornadoes as well. You really have to have everything in place for tornadoes to occur. But cold fronts are usually responsible.
