  1. Actually, it should be somewhere between 50-100 MPG.

My boss and I both ride them when we only have to go short distances and don't have to ride it on the high way. I ride it more durring peak traffic hours and get about 70. He rides his early in the morning and late at night and on roads with more distance between lights and he claims about 92. I beleive him because when I first bought mine I took it on a road with almost no stop lights, and ran it up and down this road about 3-4 times. When I pulled into a gas station and put the less than half a gallon it took me to fill it back up, I did the math and estimated 89.37 MPG.

Just remember though, with a 50CC, you're going to be able to get up to about 45 and depending on how much you weigh, maybe 50ish, but there's going to be no high-way driving while your on it. And although it most places its not required, I would still recomend taking an MSF(Motorcycle Saftey Foundation) approved Motorcycle Class.

I also own a car (Saturn SC-1 1997 that gets about 38 MPG for use on rainy days) and a motorcycle (2006 Suzuki Katana 600 that gets anywhere for 40-60 MPG depending on how I'm riding it for use to get to work) and I work about 30 miles on the highway away from where I live.

  2. a 50 cc vespa get 70 miles to the gallon, and with a sidecar with a 150 pound person in it, u can expect 30 to 50 miles to the gallon.
