What kind of girl is considered cute/popular?

I'm curious. You see all types of girls in movies and they're considered "the it girl" but i was wondering what the people outside of Hollywood think. What kind of personality do they have? What music do they listen to (because the only music that i know most girls listen to are jonas brothers -gag- and what ever tops the charts, even if it sucks). what do they wear? etc.

Generally, they are the girls that belong with bleach blonde hair that is always perfect, and pink bubble gum.

For me, the "it" girl role model for me is the original, urban, funky, rocker, funny, random, statement type girl, which would describe me, but I look at a lot of artists who are like that, and they've kind of been my inspiration, I've always gone through that kind of style, since I was 7!

At my school it's the girl that wears Jordan's and has those draw string back packs. Or the girl with Hollister and her hair in layers. But you also haveto know cool people to be one.

I dont think the popular girl has to be blonde. But I think she has to be involved with her school and have a personality that gets along with almost everybody. She has to dress and be cute and almost always look nice.
