  1. This is my favorite glaze recipe for Yakitori Chicken.

    6 Tbs. soy sauce

    6 Tbs. mirin (rice wine)

    6 Tbs. honey

    1-1/2 Tbs. unseasoned rice vinegar

1-1/2 Tbs. finely minced fresh ginger

Combine the soy sauce, mirin, honey, rice vinegar, ginger, and garlic in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat to medium and gently boil until the mixture is slightly syrupy and reduced to about 2/3 cup, 10 to 15 min

  2. Hawaiian or Teriyaki

  3. Try this!

    2 cups creamy peanut butter

    1 tablespoon brown sugar

    1 tsp. turmeric

    1/2 tsp. garlic salt

    1 tsp. chopped garlic

1 tsp. thai chili sauce (optional)

Melt in sauce pan on medium heat for about 8 minutes.

Reduce heat and let cook for another 5 minutes.

Glaze it on your chicken and use as a dipping sauce.

  4. all different kinds

    salad dressings

    panko breading

    asian marinade

sweet n sour sauce or duck sauce

    hot sauce

    seasame seeds

  5. Traditional chicken on a stick purchased at a Chinese restaurant is both marinated and glazed with Teriyaki sauce.

  6. Teriyaki is my favorite, but Sweet and Sour or Duck Sauce make a tasty Asian treat.

Also try any "hot wing" sauce, hot sauce with lime juice, or your favorite barbecue sauce.

And be sure you soak the skewers or "sticks" in water before you make them.  This will keep them from burning while the chicken cooks.

    Enjoy.

  7. What kind of chicken on a stick? City chicken? Oriental sweet glazed chicken? Coconut chicken?

    All have "glazes".

  8. Mix together a little honey, your favorite jam, and BBQ sauce.  Brush your meat with the sauce.  Waala!
