Hey, so my dad kind of didn't let me pick out my saddle for x-mas and he ended up getting black... which i know i can't use and my instructor has even told me so. And i think my dad is a little POed because we don't really have much money to just be buying saddles over and over again and I would really like to find a close contact saddle that isn't too expensive. =] Brand and saddle suggestions are great, thanks.

  1. Hey, work with your Dad,  at least he tried!!

If  the saddle is unsuitable and can't be returned, try selling it (ebay has been good to me) to fund a new one. Also  figure out what  type want first so you can focus  your search. Sounds like you need a comfortable english allpurpose  to resonably cover all those fields. Check with your instructor BEFORE buying.

Some of the cheapest brands with good quality are synthetic types,in  my order of preference, Status,  Kincade and Wintec.

Do youreally need new? Try second hand in themore expensive brands. Local Tackstores, pony club, take out a wanted advert  or try ebay or  online.

Whatever you do include your Dad. He obviously is trying very hard  get to  know your hobby.
