they offer the same life for everyone? I mean that when you're born you have the same right to health care and education, even if you're born rich or poor? You start at an even playing field from the momont of your birth.

  1. Socialist:  socialist do allow limited free enterprise, so you can actually get rich.  If it was communist then there would not be any rich ones...

  2. Most of the industrial nations are already offering it.  Canada, England, France, Germany, and Denmark to name a few.  Believe it or not, even India and Cuba.  This is how India is able to take over the technology and help center jobs so quickly.  They are cranking out almost 500,000 computer programmer jobs a year.  Many of them has had a program of providing medical care and free education with a living stipend if you keep your grades up since just after World War II.

  3. There actually is a government like that, the problem is that that particular form of government has had no actual application that has worked for an extended period of time.  It's called Communism, and the issue is that it has never worked nor been in its pure form for any decent amount of time.  The Soviets called themselves Communist, but theirs was actually more of a dictatorship that made all the poor people in society equal to each other and everyone else was given elevated position.  The ideas behind Communism are sound in principle, but since people want to be able to elevate their status in society, this becomes impossible.

Ok, well the system of government you're talking about, where people can rise to any extent no matter their birth, does not exist.  The reason why is that system tends to exist for all of 10 seconds before someone manages to rise to the top and start to exploit it.  It might be called a pure capitalism, but not quite.  Oh, and the reason I thought otherwise was the statement "offer the same life for everyone," seemed to indicate you were talking about everyone having the same amount of everything, since that is the only way to have the "same" life.

  4. All are equal but some are more equal.

  5. wow this guy above me is a moron! no that is not communism u idiot!

  6. It's weird that several people have "answered" your question but no one's responded to the initial "what kind of government is it when..."

it's called Socialism.  England, Switzerland, the Netherlands, etc., etc., etc.

health care and education are free; that is, socialized; the government pays for them for all citizens.

    socialism is like communism-lite.

    hope this helps.
