What kind of grass is better to plant in my front lawn?

Question

so i have a beautifful grass in fron but recently somebody put to much fertilizer on top and kill half

i have a lot of brown spots and a lot of green , I removed the brown sport put dirt and now i want to plant

i dont have any ideea what kind of gras i had before and i just make my lawn beautifull again

what i should plant ?

Best bet is a mix.  Go to a local garden center (preferably not a box store) and they'll have an appropriate mix.

You mentioned front yard, so I'd assume it's full sun but the garden center will need how much traffic and sun the area gets.

not possible to answer without knowing where you live. cut a chunk from your yard..take it to a garden ctr, find out what it is and buy some more.Remember not all grass is available in seed.

Look to see what zone you live in, which is determined by average temperature. Then you look at how much direct sunlight you get... some grass might thrive in it while others might burn up. Go to the local seed seller and ask. Or call your county agriculture extension agent and he can make a recommendation, or may ask you to take a soil sample that he can send off to a lab. Or, if you see a lawn crew nearby, stop and ask them.
