  1. it all depends what part of the country you're in the north to south and the west and of course east coast the heat an amount of rain and other natural to the area makes a difference what grows good , inexpensive to maintain and still have a good golf course

  2. The area of the country often determines the grass which will be used.  There are grasses especially grown for use on greens which are strains of Bermuda for southern courses. Greg Norman's group has developed a couple of new srtains for  courses of the South. The bent grasses are  used primarily on Northern greens, fairways and have taken over the rough in many areas.

  3. bubblegum

  4. IN the north you will mostly see bent grass greens, which grows really dense and can be cut short, and most often a rye or Kentucky blue grass mix for fairways.

In the southern regions or hotter climates, you might see some bermuda or coculya (sp?).

But the most common type is fescue.  It will grow pretty much anywhere

  5. Same grass as on your yard?  David I want to go home...

  6. Bermuda or Bent, depending on the quality of the course
