What kind of guitar to buy?

What exactly is a "fast" sound?  That's not a term used by guitarists.

For a bright sound, nothing beats a Collings C-10 or an all-koa Goodall concert jumbo.

my son has a les paul? Something like that but oh.. that's electric. but the sound compared to the one he has is such a huge difference. smooth music. and he's only 13!  he has a gift.
