  1. I have two Conair ones. They work surprisingly well for each being $20 though.

  2. I have a Sedu. I think its the best one and I can't live without it. It doesn't pull your hair, the plates are really smooth. It is also light so you don't get tired when using it.

  3. i have a MaxiGlide.

    it's really worth the money.

it has little teeth that comb your hair as u straighten, so that it doesn't become tangled. it also has a button that you can press taht makes steam come out of it. just press down when you're clamping down on a section of hair, and it illiminates frizz and tangles.

it's about $80-90 bucks , i believe. it has 10 settings and gets really hot.

it works for frizzy hair as well as wavy hair. even if you have unmanageable curls, it will clamp down and straighten like normal.

it's really worth it. trust me.

    (now i sound like a commercial, don't i??)

  4. I don't know who makes the Hilary Duff flat iron, but I have a 3/4 inch Revlon ceramic flat iron that I got from Target for about $14. It works great.

I have had expensive flat irons and cheap ones, and I haven't seen a difference. The most important thing to look for in a flat iron is to lok for one that 1. heats quicky and evenly 2. has tempature controls 3. is lightweight 4. has a swivel cord and 5. is easy to clean. Everything else is a preference and not a necessity.

If you are still unsure, buy that demi levoto at a place like Ulta or BeautyFirst. Use it a couple times. If you like it, keep it. If you don't like it or if you don't see a difference in the curling iron that you have, return it and get your money back. Be certain of the store's return policy before you buy. Places like Target and Walmart will not let you return it so easily.

    Hope this helps.

  5. I have a Conair:

    it works really well (:

  6. The other day i went to the hair salon to buy a chi but than the hair salon lady was like "chi's break fast and their just ok.." she tested the chi on my hair and it was awesome but than she also tested this hair straightener called the nano croc. The nano croc was awesome but i went to the other hairsalon to do a price comparison, The lady at that hair salon was like "wtf is a nanocroc" and i was like idk... than she was like "we sell chi's but they break really fast and a lot of fake ones are being made and stuff so she wouldnt recommend buying it. so than i went back to the hairsalon and just bought the nano croc. IT IS AWESOME! its so quick and you can adjust the temperature. and i have really thick hair and i was surprised how fast it works.  It cost 200 bucks but it was so worth it.

  7. i have naturally straight hair, but since i got layers the ends stick out sometimes so I use a CHI iron, and i'd say it works well. I haven't tried other straighteners so I wouldn't know if it's the best, but my mother used to work for a beauty supply company, and she said chi was the best straightener (at the time, maybe still!)

  8. i have a bed head one it works pretty good my friend has a solia pink straightner it heats up super fast and does an amazing job on thick super curly hair i love hers.
