What kind of hamster is this?

We think he is a Syrian (aka Golden) hamster but we're not sure.

It is indeed a syrian hamster. PLEASE do not bathe hamsters! A bath can kill them, water is a hamster's nightmare.

First thats a golden syrian hamster, second its not healthy to bathe a hamster, but at least hes ok, putting a dish full of chinchilla dust in his cage will give him something to bathe in and they enjoy rolling in it :D, anymore questions message me and i will answer them

its called a teddy bear hamster or syrian.

i had one exactly like that! but the lady who owns the my apartments doesnt like hamsters (even though we were allowed to have them) so she came in while i was gone and she set up rat traps in our apartment and when i came back home my hamster was snap up in one of the rat traps. i was crying for like 2 days straight because that was my 1st hamster and ive had it for 4 years i miss it so much. but i just went out and baught a new one today (:

Yes, that is a Syrian hamster. People, shut up about the "He could die from a bath!" answers. He could die, but that chance is very, very, small. All of my hamsters have gotten a bath more than once and guess what? None of them even got sick! Anyways, Hamsters do not require baths unless they have fleas/ticks or very dirty fur, because they groom themselves, just like cats. I think you didn't know this. But even though he enjoyed it, it's best not to give him another bath. If you do, use a Hamster shampoo from your pet store. By the way, he's a cutie!

You are not supposed to bathe them. The can get pneumonia or wet tail and die. You probably should have researched hamsters before you bought one.

Yes he is a Syrian...

and tip: not such a good idea to bathe your hamster by the way...  Even a tiny drop of water can drown them and they can get pneumonia very easily.  You can buy hamster sand or even hamster litter and put it in a litter box and they can clean themselves that way =)

They smell fresh and clean when they do =)

hes cute you should photo shop abs on him and he would have himself a date! oh but sorry i do not know what kind he is but edit this and put abs on him hes so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
