What kind of hard material they use for pop-up books?

I have a project and thought of being creative so I would be making a pop-up book. although its only going to be a single page

what kind of 'hard' paper should I use? (the one that is not that easily be folded)

and the cover????? help me.. pls.

  1. You may be thinking of "cardstock"... it comes in different weights and in colors as well as white, and can be purchased in office supply stores, craft stores, etc... and individual sheets can be purchased at Kinko's.  Many popup pages or cards can be made with plain paper though too as long as it's not too floppy, and some kinds of paper in the scrapbooking dept of craft stores may also be a little stiffer?

    As for the cover, you might want to look into "book board," etc, though there are other things you could use depending on what you want/need .... ask at an art supply store for book board and similar paper "board".
