  1. The USA was in Philippines once giving many jobs and spending lots of money . The Philippines asked the US to leave , so it seems the Philippines just want a hand out - just for the US to send money . The Philippines is the only country in the world that cannot stand on it's own after many years of assistance from the USA .

  2. nothing... one of them will become a president of America not in Philippines.  A little bit affected probably because we need to establish friendship again who ever win.

  3. I think that whoever wins might find it interesting to wipe out the $50 Billion loans of the Philippines in exchange for offshore mining rights.   Provided the earthquakes predicted would lift up all those goodies up the sea.

Otherwise,  they would be so concerned with repairing the economic recession in their own backyard.

If the US is really serious in helping us,  there is this MV Princess that is a threat to livelihood and the very lives of people living near the derelict, because of the poisonous substances on board.   They have the Navy and the technical knowhow to remove the threat.   As an act of friendship, they could have removed it.  Or, at the very least, mention by diplomatic channels their intention to do so, saying that Americans who frequent the islands might be placed in danger by these same chemicals should they be released by accident.

  4. idk but they probably wont help

  5. yup philippines will be affected. US needs to get out of its current economic state, which at the moment is deteriorating, or else businesses in the philippines will be affected. If US economy continues to go down, some businesses might have to down-size their call centers. and we all know call centers contribute greatly to the philippine economy.

also, my friend has her own business. she's a broker for machines and pumps. anyway, before, they used to buy equipments and put it on a credit, but now they have to cash advance for all the equipments they want to buy. these equipments are super expensive. if they don't have money to cash out, then they won't have any supplies. no supplies means no business for my friend.

the company where my friend buys her supplies from is an american-owned company. and my friend is VERY concerned about who will become the next US president.

as you can see, yes, we are affected by the outcome of the US economy. and yes, in a way, whoever becomes the next president will have an effect on the philippines.

  6. Well, what help will Philippines do for America? You all have your hand stuck out to receive something while we work our a.s.s. off here in USA trying to make ends meet.  We don't all have a big house paid in full with streets paved in gold the way you think.  You need to lose that "gimme gimme" attitude.

  7. None!

  8. hmmm,i wouldn't count on anything,in fact I doubt any help for the U.S.either!!!!

  9. Why is that important ?

  10. i don't think obama or mccain will give any help to the phillipines

the whole world is effected by the outcome of the us elections

  11. if mccain won, the situation WILL become worse. he is bush's shadow.. a warlord in disguise.. if obama won the ballot.. hmm.. im not so sure what  would happen.. all i know is he's a muslim.. but people loves him.. ill go for him if he pick clinton as his vp.  but it should be clinton who won the primary. *sigh.*

  12. they won't give d**k to the philippines. we have enough problems at home that they need to address first. get pres. arroyo off her *** and have her give something to her own country.

  13. Obama - will tell that we're too dependent on the BPO industry (which makes sense because call centers are for blue collar Americans anyway) and will probably condemn our government for corruption and hypocrisy... for the first time, an American President that actually cares about the Philippines.

McCain - will continue to allow outsourcing (saves American businesses money and temporarily helps our unemployment with more call center jobs) and might donate an arsenal of modern military equipment if our government convinces him that there are still terrorists in the country.

    *edit*

sino ba nag-sabing Muslim si Obama?

  14. Regardless of who becomes the next U. S. President, the Philipines no longer plays a crucial role in U.S. foreign policy.  The closing of strategic Clark and Subic left a bitter taste in American palates.  We remain friends but our friendship is not as close as it once was.

Let's stop asking for help.  It doesn't do much good to our economy and to our well-being as a nation.  What ever happened to our national pride?
