What kind of high school subject to become an architect?

what kind of sujects in highschool should i take in grade 11 and 12 to become an architect... like canadian law to learn about permits and stuff etc... thanks for helping

  1. Don't worry about the law yet...they'll have specialized classes for that in college (unless you're really into the law side of it).  Take 3D art classes, photography, drawing, and drafting, if you've got them.  Anything that will get you thinking spatially.  And physics and calculus--for college credit if you can.

    Also, if you've got an architecture college in your area, check out their open seminar schedule.  A lot of schools will have architects from all over come give a presentation at their school, which are often open to the public.  You may find the work inspiring--and if you can begin to understand the lingo and the (often heady) issues architects are tackling, you will be miles ahead of your classmates.
