  1. Start playing poker on line!

Buy some books to learn the fundamentals and start from there. Be very methodical and try to play your best! Pokertube is great for watching the best of the best in action and learn from them.

    Good luck!

  2. You could cook and bake a really good meal. You could also help your 5 year old prepare for whatever grade they are going into. Also maybe get outside and take a walk.

  3. read..read..read

its the best hobby u could ever have

try reading bestselling novels, non-fictions, history if u like it, other cultures and religions, u could even read books that talk about how to raise ur 5 year old and improve his/her mintal capabilities and start practising it into him/her and see the progress.

u also might wanna try scrapbooking its so fun

  4. how about trying prestamped, prequilted, cross stitch baby quilts, or lap quilts.

  5. Sowing and sewing are two different things.

If you have a yard or a house, fix them.

There is always something to do, to improve your yard or house. Now is a good time, cuz there's not much construction going on. That means the stores will be a little easier to move around in, and a little nicer to you. Too bad the prices won't reflect the lower demand.

  6. Have you ever thought of preserving your family's heritage? It sounds like a complicated idea maybe, but it's very simple. Create a digital storybook. It could be about your son's first year, when you were pregnant, you and your husband's wedding or love story, your parents (where they came from, how they met, etc.), your grandparents or great grandparents (whom your son may never meet), or anything else. I actually do this for a living now, but it started as a hobby. The first book I made was for my daughter's first year, the second was about a vacation I took to Disneyland with some friends, the third was about when I lived in Chicago, etc, etc. These books aren't the cheap, impersonal photobooks that you see at wal-mart or shutterfly either, they are quality, library-bound, hard-back, acid, lignin, and chlorine free books that will last in your family for generations. The best part though? They aren't expensive! If you want something to occupy your time, this will, because once you get started you won't want to stop. If you want something to occupy your time AND be worthwhile, this is definitely it--you will be creating family heirlooms for future generations.

  7. You could become a collector of stamps, cards, pens, pins or anything you seem to find a lot of around the house and beyond. You can also make jewelry and sell it online and off ^_^ so you get a 2 in 1 combo- have fun and make money!

  8. I like to crochet/knit during my pasttime. It helps me to relax. I also like to fold origamis. Once you get the hang of any one of these, it gets really fun and relaxing! :)

  9. well you should think of stuff you actually enjoy doing that will probably encourage you 5 yr old to do.start by listing all your favorites down if that doesn't work think of some sports you tried years ago or start  with new ones! if you give activities chances you might actually like them! them start with stuff you never tried! A sport i recommend is tennis it is a great sport and it encourages little one to play too with great joy !!  GOOD LUCK!!

  10. try getting a job or take up sowing

  11. As awesome as video games are, I find painting (on canvas) to be very entertaining, and it takes you hours, but it's extremely fun, I like to buy the 10 inch wooden maniquins, and paint them into people, superheroes, ect.. Try some art type things, drawing, sketching, and if your not good at drawing, get a drawing tutorial book, because drawing keeps me occupied for hours, plus in the end, I have this nice piece of art that I can hang in my room, and when ever I want some more art, I just draw it.

    Books are really good too.

  12. I know exactly what you mean. I have a 1 year old and I stay home with him. I make handstamped cards and it is such a rewarding hobby. Take a look at my Stampin' Up! website www.courtneymcaulay.stampinup. net and see if you like what you see. If you do then request my newsletter and I can get you started with this wonderful craft.
