  1. slapshot

  2. use a net with a cardboard covering over the front with a few holes cut in it. That will allow you to practice placing the puck exactly where you want it so it becomes second nature

  3. A good one is to draw a ladder on your driveway with the squares being about 1 foot squared, and then do ladder exercises that i am sure you have done before. Also, if you have a shooting board, net, and pucks, what i found helpful was to shoot all the pucks then do 10 push-ups. Then get all the pucks and shoot them again but this time do nine push-ups when you have shot them all. Keep going until you get to one push-up. IT takes a while if you have a lot of pucks, but you get a lot of shots in and strengthen your arms and core body. If you have friends who are interested in doing hockey training with you, it is a lot more fun, and you can do more drills. One that you can do with a friend is one person squats, and then jumps as high as they can. While that person is in the air, the other pushes them slightly and makes the first person land and keep their balance. It is a good drill for stability, which is important in hockey, obviously. Another one is make a square with chalk or something, and make it big enough for two people to fit in comfortably, and get a stick-handling ball and play keep away within the box. If the ball goes out, then the other person gets the ball and you have to try to get it from them. Also, if you have weights, do different things such as fore-arm curls, and other ones you can think of, because it will help with improving your shot. Try to do some workout cycles, that are not too hard, but tire you out as you repeat them. For example, you could shoot ten pucks forehand, then do 10 sit-ups and ten push-ups, then shoot ten pucks backhand. Repeat this three times and then come up with a new cycle. It is very important though to drink a lot of water, especially if it is hot outside, because you don't want to get dehydrated. I would also reccomend long bike rides and jogs to stay in shape over the summer, and try to get some ice time in at least once a week.
