  1. 15.2 and higher would suit you just fine :)

breed.. well there are many. quarter horse or thoroughbred. maybe even a large paint

    hope i helped you

  2. It really depends as to where most of your height is. I'm 5'6", and I ride a 16.3 hand stocky QH. I have a long leg, but a lot of my height is in my torso, making me look large on horses under 16 hands. If your leg is the longer area, you'll feel more comfortable on a horse about 16 hands, but you could easily fit something smaller. If its all in your torso, you'd feel comfortable on just about any horse over 15.1 hands, but you'd look way too large.

  3. I wouldn't go below 16.1-16.2. I'm 5'5" and my trainer thinks I look big on anything smaller than 16 hands. There are lots of different breeds and it depends on what your budget is, but if you are willing to put the money into it, buy a big built thoroughbred or a warmblood of some sort. Good luck!

  4. You don't mention how experienced you are, but a cob type about 15hh to 16hh would be perfect for you. Also it's best to match the horse to your ability, so the less experienced you are, the calmer and more experienced (& therefore often older) the horse you ride needs to be; if the horse is of a placid temperament and you are comfortable with being higher off the ground you could ride a taller horse, if not best stick to under 16hh. I'm slightly taller than you & I occasionally ride smaller than 15hh.

  5. i would think maybe 15.2 15.3 but you could heigher if u wanted :]

  6. If you are not still growing: 15.3-16.2

If you ARE still growing: 16.0-16.3

What would you be doing with the horse? That affects size too.

  7. 15.3 would be perfect.

  8. 15hh-16hh Quarter Horse

  9. I would go 15.3hh or up. Probably a little more.

  10. 15.1 hand quarter horse, depending on what you show. I have a 15.3 Arabian/Quarter mix and he's pretty good size. If you want bigger you could do a 16 hand Thoroughbred, if you like tall.
