What kind of house lizard would eat roaches??

Roaches came with this apartment I just got. I have tried boric acid, sprays, and cleaning every day with bleach, but they still come back.

I heard that house lizards are a natural enemy of roaches and want to know if it will solve my problem.

Thank you!

  1. Tokay gecko's are known as biological orkin men, would advise though that they get bigger than your run of the mill native north American lizard, not big like monitors but bigger than a north American anole. They are also known to be somewhat aggressive at times(pit bulls of the gecko family). Perhaps you could get house gecko's or Mediterranean's.

  2. A gheko (sp?)!

I lived in Florida during grad school at a woman´s house who rented out rooms.  She was all environmentally conscience and did not want to use pesticides.  She had a put gheko that ran around the house eating bugs.  We rarely saw the thing, but it did its job well.
