Hey fellow readers!

I'm a tuition teacher and I have some difficulties in teaching my student science. She's a Junior 4 student, 11 years old and both of us are out of ideas on how some experiments.

Here are some topics that you can help with:

The Water Cycle

Energy

Light

Heat

Air and the Respiratory System

The Circulatory System

The Three States of Water

and Matter (Solid, liquid and gas)

If any teachers, parents or even teenagers out there, please answer with full detail about what things needed to do a certain experiment and please choose 1 or more topic from above. I would be glad if you help. Thanks.

  1. You may want to re-post this under the Education section.

  2. Hi!!! I have just finished the Human Body in science, and a good experiment/project a classmate did on the Respitory System was taking a mini water bottle, and fitting an uninflated balloon (it acts like the lung) inside, the blowing part turned and sitting at the water-drinking area. They cut the bottom open, and took balloon rubber (this acts like the diaphram) and put it under the bottle, taping the sides to the bottles side.

Now, if you pull the bottom rubber, the balloon will inflate. This is just how we breathe.

    Things you need:

2 balloons (one for the lung, a piece of the rubber for the bottom)

    Small water Bottle

  3. u could build a controlled environment to show most of that stuff.

the three states of matter can also be shown through the water stages.

Maybe try a different section for this though

i'm not sure about actual experiments though, i don't think we ever did any until i was in 7th grade. from then it was lab after lab after lab. One involved our teacher tieing a glove to our hands.... lol

    best of luck!
