I'm 16 by the way, so would a student ID be sufficient?

  1. You are not required by law to show I.D. until the age of 18; however, it's not a bad idea to bring some form of identification just in case. Do you have your learner's permit or driver's license yet? If so, that would be a good form of I.D. to bring - if not, a school I.D. would also be sufficient.

    Have a great trip!

  2. Maybe a student ID

but really they dont REQUIRE a ID because a kid doesnt have to have one unless they are 16. But a student ID would be fine if you really wanted one

  3. If the minor is a US citizen no id is needed if they are under the age of 18.  18 yrs and up are required to have a government issued photo id to travel within the United States.  When booking the reservation for the minor you do need to give the name/address and phone number for the person taking them to the airport and the name/address and phone number for the person picking them up at their final destination, of course that is only if you are paying the unaccompanied minor fee...which i would recommend .  Some people grumble about the fee, but the way I see it is that no amount of money is too much to protect your child.

***No you don't have to give the info for drop off or pick up if your not paying the unaccompanied minor fee.  The only reason they might ask for ID from you is if you look 18 or older...in that case the School ID would work fine. I know some people who go and get a State Picture ID, which in most states can be obtained at the DMV for about $5 or $6.
