What kind of identification for the D.V.L.A for provisional driving license?

Ok i need to get a photocard provisional driving license.I haven't got a passport,so does anybody know what kind of other I.D they will accept? U.K answers only please

Birth certificate plus these days the photo has be be signed and verified by somebody like a doctor, a member of a professional body, church minister etc.

Your birth certificate and an authenticated photograph. Has to be signed by a gp, police, justice of the peace etc just like a passport. there's a section on the form to do it.
