  1. get a tetnus shot before, take cold meds, antibiotics, dramamien[sp], and immodium with you.

  2. bird flu vaccin

  3. AIDS hahahahah.....H5N1..........

  4. Here's what the Center for Disease Control recommends for travel to Vietnam. I do think they tend to be overly cautious regarding vaccinations and preventative measures, but these diseases and dangers are present, and you never really know for sure what you may be exposed to. Have fun:

  5. You should ask your doctor about tropical climate vaccinations, and he/she will know the ones you need. You can also check the Vietnamese embassy's travel and tourism page and it may tell you specifically. Some do and some don't, so you'll just have to check.

You'll probably need influenza, hep A and possibly hep B, and yellow fever. Also, if you've never been vaccinated, which is rare, you'll probably need to be vaccinated for all the typical diseases like measles, mumps, tetanus, polio, etc.

You should also carry and anti-malarial (tablets you take) and a 10-day round of antibiotics - things aren't exactly pristine there...or here, for that matter.
