  1. vinyl flooring is great for laundry rooms. So is armstrong's "rug" is a sheet of vinyl flooring that comes in one sheet cut to your room size and is put down with double sided carpet tape. I have it in my laundry room if the floor gets wet it is easily wiped up and cleans up great.

  2. Here's a cheaper idea-  Paint the subflooring and coat with urethane.

You can be creative and paint a design or use a faux look -as in brick, tile or painted wood planks.

We painted our living room subfloor (plywood), made marks with magic marker to look like boards, coated with urethane and it costs $50.00  for paint and urethane for a 18 x 20 room.

  3. Vinyl flooring is probably the best choice if you can't use tile.  Laminated flooring is NOT recommended - one leak & it's shot.  If the subfloor is concrete rather than wood, you could also stain and/or paint the floor instead of using a covering if that's an option for you.

  4. yes most definitely.

  5. Vinyl flooring is okay, but Linoleum is better for the planet.

Vinyl flooring is made from PVC, plastics, and/or petroleum products.

Linoleum is made from linseed oil and plants.

Linoleum is "green", recyclable, and "sustainable"

  6. yes,vinyl is fine

  7. Sheet vinyl is inexpensive, easy to clean, and no seems for spills to sink thru to the sub floor.
