  1. broken bones

  2. Ah well, a whole lot of things. It's a contact sport and you can be pretty sure of getting landed with a lot of fractures (hair line and serious), bruises etc.

  3. the worst injuries in rugby have been broken necks in the scrums thats why they are so careful in setting up the scrums theses days, men have ruined their careers in that single moment

  4. Pretty much anything.  American football players are padded, but they can still be injured; rugby players wear next to nothing and would be more susceptible to injuries.  There was a news report recently where a rugby player had another player's tooth stuck in his forehead.  Broken bones, pulled muscles, torn ligaments, concussions ... you name it.

  5. Very serious ones.  I dont know much about American football, but sadly rugby players have had just about every injury imaginable with the most serious being broken neck resulting in paralysis which is why in Rugby it is a serious infraction to tackle anyone above the shoulders.  There have also been deaths in rugby although not so much in recent years as far as I know.

  6. maybe the question should be, what injury CAN'T you get from playing rugby.  in a game someone bite my eye once- it ended as a really cute black eye with a little cut at the corner of my eye.  I loved it.  maybe thats a little crazy.

injuries can get pretty serious though.  Ruggers are prone to knee injuries, especially in the back line.  ACL/ MCL injuries are common, especially in women who play rugby.  shoulder separations, concussions, sprined/ broken fingers... then there are the bruises... theyre fun to compare after matches though.
