As you may have heard, a meteor flashed through the sky and landed somewhere in eastern Washington this morning. This brought up a question. If a meteor happened to wipe out a house, or a car, etc... what kind of insurance would cover it?

  1. MOST homeowners policies cover falling objects as a peril....this would be included, but you should check the covered perils in YOUR policy to be sure. Also, if you carry comprehensive coverage on your auto policy, it would cover the meteor hitting your vehicle. If you happen to only carry liability coverage, you would be s.o.l.
