What kind of internet do you have, and do you like it?

I have Comcast, and it's terrible. It's awful/horrible/atrocious and I feel like shooting myself every time I get on the computer. It's so slow. It's worse than the dsl I used to have. It's double the slowness of dial-up. That's when it is actually working. Not exaggerating here, it stops working every ten minutes. I keep having to click the 'repair' button but everything still sucks. The signal strength is never higher than Low or 56%.

What can I get besides Comcast?

  1. I have Comcast and while I do not have 10 MB/sec downloads, I have speeds that put dial-up in the dirt. It is much faster than some of my friends "low-cost" DSL accounts.

I'm not sure where you are located, but I do know the capability of the Comcast Network varies widely from one city to another. I moved from Beaverton, OR to Vancouver WA, a distance of less than 30 miles, and the Comcast Network in Vancouver is not nearly as capable as the one in Beaverton.

Still, you should be doing far better than dial up. Check all your connections and if you can't find something wrong, give Comcast a call. They can check and make sure your cable is up to par

  2. Mozilla Firefox

Its the best because you can build new tabs and its suppose to be 15 percent faster than Internet Explorer.  Also Firefox allows you to have more applications going on at once

  3. I have Cox Cable. I have 15mbit but i usually download around 2MB/sec. I love it.

  4. firefox, i like it

  5. I've been using Verizon's DSL for a 4 years and have been pleased with the service. I can remember it going down only once. They offer a few different speeds at different prices.
