  1. Easiest way to lose *fat* is to run at 60-70% of your max HR. (220-age)...for long periods.

    Best way to lose weight (muscle) would be to run at a higher intensity e.g. 80-90% of your max HR, again and again.

    I assume you mean fat loss?

    Run for as long as you can at 60-70% HR and do it again and again.


  2. "intervals" implies that you are running a  set distance, usually a mile or less, repeatedly. This will not really help you lose weight. In order to do that you must go and run continually, for a prolonged period of time at a pace comfortable to you.

  3. It is "lose" weight.  Loose is something altogether different, like what your skin wil be after you lose the weight.
