  1. Answer:  This one and every other one in the past.

As much as I agree with your disdain for democrats... the vacation schedule is the same in a republican controlled congress as well.  No matter what the situation, Congress will ALWAYS break when scheduled.  The only way to change it is to get them to vote themselves into a longer work season... of which your chances are about as good as trying to get congress to agree to accept part time pay for part time work.

Wouldn't it be nice if we all could vote on our own pay raises and work schedules?

  2. one run by democrats

  3. It is worse than irresponsible, it is seditious, even traitorous. They have deliberately screwed up many things, and energy policy is just one of them. They have done this to harm the country, the economy, and our military efforts in order to be able to blame failure on the current administration so that they can gain power.

Those who have taken part in this traitorous activity should be tried for treason. They would have been under Eisenhower, and we should tolerate non of this traitorous garbage.

The democrats have left, except for a few who are just as upset as the republicans and are wanting to pass legislation to drill.

I think some of these guys didn't read the whole question. It's not the vacation that's at question. It's a vacation without voting on energy legislation at a time critical to our country, when every day of high fuel prices does more and more damage to our economy. Not just ours either, this is affecting the entire world.

  4. The kind that has the lowest approval rating ever. While I support a couple of people in congress: Jim Webb (D), Buck Mckinnon (R) I have the sad truth to reveal that my state has produce the house speaker Nancy Pelsoi who has effectively stopped any progress on energy thanks to the green movement.

I am excited to see where the group of 10 takes us and if it will be passed. Congress has as much sizzle as a wet firecracker. But hey congress only works like 104 days a year to begin with, so why shouldn't they take a well deserved 5 week break? At least the Republicans are staying (some of them anyways) and trying to revolt, doubt we will see anything though.

Jeepers - Remember the President also retains the power to call congress back for an emergency.

  5. I think both parties are on vacation.  Not just the democrats.
