Being 15 these days can strap you down if you are looking for employment.  Just as the others have said, the legal age to work in Texas is 16.  15 makes you in the boundaries of the child labor laws.  There are safety issues employers must comply with that don't cover children under 16; workmans comp is a big stake here.  But there are jobs like: babysitting at the local church that may be something you can look into.  My brother use to cut lawns in the neighborhood.  He merely knocked on doors and was trusted to come by regularly.  He even washed windows of local businesses.  You merely have to gain this kind of trust to do the job right.

  3. in a nutshell, none, you need to be at least 16. Contact the Texas Employment Commission to see if you qualify for a work permit.

  4. Check with the city services. I remember having friend working at the library after school. Great way to easily knock out homework.

    There's always babysitting and working at a car wash.
