  1. babysitting, lawn mowing, paper route, helping elderly people run errands

Or maybe ask your parents if there is extra stuff outside your usual chores that you can do.  Set a payment rate ahead of time. Here's what you might say:

"Mom, I was hoping to get a little extra cash this summer...if I clean out the garage will you pay me 40 dollars"

if she says thats too much try to haggle for what you both think is fair, ideas for what you can do for your parents that they might appreciate enough to pay you for:

spring cleaning-moving the furniture and cleaning behind it, cleaning out the kitchen cabinets, cleaning things that don't get cleaned regularly

    yardwork-lawn mowing, weeding, landscaping

    cleaning out the gutters

scrubbing the garage or basement floors

    painting

watching siblings while parents have a night out

    clean out the attic/basement/ garage

  3. mowing lawns, babysitting, running errands
