I'm going to be looking for a new laptop pretty soon, and I would like some suggestions

I want a laptop with a camera built in, good graphics card (8 series+), a bit of memory for movies, games, music etc, a good battery life, and under 2500$.

I haven't found any good customizable laptops other than alienware, which is way to over priced for my taste.

I'll be playing civilization IV, possibly COD4, and a few others. I don't plan on getting into crysis or anything so if there is a better alternative than the 8800's that would be nice

  1. Gateway, Gateway, Gateway.

Rated #1 in almost all of PC magazines in Security, performance, and gaming, and computer inventions, including the tablet PC.

Gateway surveys consumers on using the computers on how to make the products better and uses the money they make to research and develop better products than the last rather than spend money on commercials. They know their computers are awesome and don't need a commercial to do it with, unlike Dell and HP, or Apple.

Gateway.com is where it's at. I know because seasoned Techs like myself have gateway computers, along with colleges.

  2. Gateway - Laptop with Intel® Centrino® 2 Processor Technology

    Model: P-7811FX

    $1,449.99

above system sure stands tall., also value for money wise

meets & exceeds all your criteria, except battery life

but then do not expect good battery life when gaming on batteries on any and any laptop for that matter

  3. i really like the dells i bought mine at best buy. it has 3gigs of ram and 250gigs of memory and its amazing i use it for movies, music, even games sometimes, videos, everything really im on it 24/7. it ost me around 900 i got it for 200$ less cause it was on sale. it is awesome i love mine.

  4. Now Dell has hooked up with Aleinware and is getting AW tech to people for cheaper. I use to hate dell because it messed up all the time but now that is all I will buy. My business has 24 desktops and 6 laptops. The only problems I have come across is with other peoples software. If you don't like Vista get the Vista Ultimate edition and it has a XP install. But Vista will come into its own eventually.
