  1. You're not going to get a gaming machine for that much - gaming machines require a dedicated graphics card, and machines with modern, up-to-date CPUsx and good cards will easily cost over a grand.  Gaming machines are luxuries - they are not affordable almost by definition.

time to rethink those priorities - get a desktop (cheaper with comparable performance and you don't sound like a person who needs portability)

    give up gaming.

  2. Well, as long as the games aren't too complicated, I'd go with this:

    http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shoppi...

    and choose the recommended configuration.

  3. dell inspiron 1525

it fits all your expectations :)

  4. Look at Dells and HP.  I would choose an HP over a Dell because they are generally more reliable and better computers.

HP has some nice mobility models - where as Dell has the Inspiron and Studio laptops that are pretty cheap.

Just be aware that any laptop you buy at $700 may not be able to run some of the newer games (Warhammer Online and the upcoming Blizzard games) but I don't know if that matters to you.

I'd look at the mobility line of HPs (http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shoppi... and the Dell Studio (http://www.dell.com/content/products/pro... or Inspiron (http://www.dell.com/content/products/pro...

Good luck finding what you want.
