  1. Depends on where you live.  Assuming the US consider someone getting unjured by something that happens in your house.  Like slipping on something or falling on stairs.

Also, if you are alone with an individual younger student, you are more likely to get sued for harassment-related issues.  Probably better off having multiple students or other people around at all times.

Thats all I can think of right now.

  2. It's an activity and setting where a liability claim is a very low-likelihood option, but to answer you r question, my immediate thoughts would be:

    1.  Student injury,e.g. slip-and-fall

    2.  Accusation of instructor behaving inappropriately, e.g. unwanted sexual advances

    3.  Complaint that instructor failed to provide the type, amount and quality of services advertised

  3. there are problems in that you must declare but in window society there are ways all you have to do is you say your inviting some friends recriational painting you dont charge you only ask for a donation for paints brushes etc

  4. l don't know about  the USA,  but if it is a serious enterprise ie a business then it must be treated as any other business done from home;- Change of use notification with the local council, public liability insurance, keep records of those attending and their fees, receipts for materials  used  etc etc

if its just a group of 'friends'  then just keep quiet.....
