  1. If you are in the US contact the Coast Guard to answer this.


  2. In the State of NY if you are over 18 the boat just needs to be registered with the state. If you are between 10 and 18 you need a boating safety certificate or under the supervision of a person older then 18. Check with your state. This is for non commercial operation.

    All operators of PWC's now need a Safety Certificate.

  3. You just need the registration license that you have on your bow on one side, that shows which year you are current until.  No biggie

  4. I think all you need is to have your boat registered and inspected. As far as a license goes, I don't think you need one. (you may need a safety certificate, coast guard maybe?)

  5. Most states require that you have a boating safety certificate if you were born after 1976, to operate a motorized vessel. The craft needs to be state registered. You can inquire from a local Coast Guard Station on the Inland Waterway.

    A certificate is required in NYS
